Grand Opening of Forever 21 at the Mall of America

OOOOH my GOOOOOOOSH, guys! I've been excited about this since I got hired at my job (they told me about it during the interview, I've just been wanting to wait until it actually happens to post about it, so here I am.) My shift is the closing one, but as with any big day, no matter what your shift, it's still busy. Oh, Such a fun event! I really had no idea what the store would look like until my last shift, on Friday, because of all the setting up that was still going on. We have so many sections, guys! Something for everyone.

You're a man? (Namja Isseoyo?) We've got some stuffs for you (really, check our guys section out, it's super manly!"

You're a super girly girl? You'll find something everywhere (well, probably not the men's section, 'cuz...yeah...)

You love you some Hello Kitty? Well, it's infiltrated EVERYWHERE (except the men's section, I think, and really, "Everywhere" is kind of an exaggeration, I don't think there's any in the club, cocktail, accessories, or...denim? sections)

Kiddies? (srsly, mmm...you should probably not be reading my blog 'cuz I swear like a sailor... But ther's something for you, too.) A whole section (but boys will be redirected to the men's section, 'cuz, well..."Kids" is really "girls", but we dont' discriminate, your son wants that skirt? Let him have it. WE DO NO DISCRIMINATE. Besides, maybe he's rocking it better than that one girl in his class, Idk...let me stop right now...probably dug myself into a hole here...)

Plus section has a bit of everything (and a couple things I want).

You like Neon? And California? Maybe just Cali?

And eventually, even Coffee! (I seriously can't wait for that caffeine to get there. You have no idea how deprived I've been recently.

So, yeah, something for everyone. I've made a million outfits in my head already. Hee, I can start building an actual wardrobe now ^__________________________________________^

But I need some of that hello kitty stuff, 'cuz Hello Kitty is deee bombsauce.

Oh, I forgot to mention shoes, there's LOTS of shoes, ladies. (Sorry gents, I actually don't know much about your footwear, but your section looks pretty swank if I do say so myself, and Yes, I did just say "swank").

Awkward Turtle is Awkward

Hi, guys, as you've guessed, I've run into some awkwardness at work.

As it turns out, I'm following someone I work with on blogger (I had no idea we even lived in the same state until I saw a post with pics of a place I used to walk by all the time, only to end up months later getting hired at the same store they work at)

For me, this is awkward, as I just found out this person - of course - had the same idea as me: blog about the new store, and take pics to share with you lot. You can see how this'll be awkward, if you happen to follow her, too, she just happened to beat me to the punch, and now I'm kind of upset, I don't want to be a copycat blogging about the same store - I'm still going to because it's something I'm super excited about, and it's not my fault we both work at the same store, as you just read, I didn't even know she lived in the same state, let alone worked at the freaking mall of america...freaking A.

I"m still doing it though, but I'm gonna have to unfollow her blog, because I can't take this much awkwardness, I'm already a very awkward individual, and I know this pretty well. I've tried working on it, but it's probably just my social anxiety...I probably can do something about it, but I don't know what other than observing others and following suit.

Well, I've managed to successfully unfollow the person, so, now I can blog freely about working at Forever 21 in the mall of america (Idk if I told you guys that in an earlier post, I normally have trouble deciding what information is safe to disclose, as I sometimes get real life stalkers...k, scratch sometimes, it's a common occurence for me, so yeah, I know "why blog, even?" Idk, I just do, it's fun, whatever...

So, I'll be working the opening day at our new, very big store that's supposed to have it's own coffee shop, but after seeing the inside (I did a store set up shift where we were unloading boxes, trucks, and manequins), I'm not sure where they'd be putting it, there doesn't seem to be any room on the top floor (but I think we have two sets of escalators, so maybe I just haven't seen the entirety of it, but the bottom floor, well, that's also taken up by a lot of sections. GAAAAAAAAAAH! THE SECTIONS WE HAVE ARE SO CUUUUUUUUUUUTE,
but now I have to get back to doing homework.

it's been a while since my last update because of me not having internet, and always being at work, the last week's been a blur, such a blur that I can't tell you what I was doing on saturday, but it was probably working, really, I have no recollection of any event in question, but I'm also running on less than five hours of sleep right now, so...oh, chiz, homework!

pics and reviews later, I promise, but probably not tomorrow, 'cuz yeah...

Picsplosion.

Here are the pics I promised you all, lol. This is what I meant by the "modeling" thing, lol.

This is what the organizer painted. I liked this one a lot. I'm sad that I didn't get pics of some that were done last week. There was one guy who would draw for less than ten minutes, then throw it away. He was also kinda grumpy, but I think that's 'cuz he worked in quinoa fields. It was also cold outside.

A very nice man did this one. I really liked this one, the man who did it was experimenting with a new technique. ^_^

Look at this one upside down. Also drawn by a rather nice man.

Ha, I liked this one, too. (lol, I liked all of them. There's one I didn't get, the guy did it left handed, and in a new style.)

I like that she was beginning to incorporate colors.

That's all for those. I did that for two fridays, and it earned me a little extra cash. You should see if there are any art classes that need models in your areas. I was invited back, and I intend to return on a day where I won't be busy.

Oh, I guess you can't see them very well, the Fire sauce says "If you never do, you'll never know", surprising fitspo at taco bell, lol. The next one says "Leave no dare undone", and the last says "things just got real". Love these.

so, I got to my shift early, and was surprised to find the mall doors unlocked, but then I saw the cleaning crew, so...less surprising, I guess. This is all because well, busses run janky where I live, so I'm going to buy  a car eventually.

SEALIFE, you could see some of the fish swimming in their open tank down the escalator, but I didn't get a pic, lol.

Here's one I thought you would all like - Haagen-Dazs, right next to a chocolate store, but not the Godiva one...there's two, I think in the mall. Idk, though.

And build-a- bear for anyone who wants to make one.

Bet you can tell what this is, lol.

That suspended globe just says "nick universe" or something like that. Janky phone pic...sorry

And since I was still bored, there's my Forever 21.
I want to buy so much from there, but I'm gonna refrain until I've worked there for a bit longer. I am, however, getting some of our Limited Edition Hello Kitty stuff, it was made specifically for Forever 21, so if you're thinking "oh, I'll just go get this at Sanrio/somewhere else on the interwebs that isn't the F21 site", NO. It won't be there, lol.

Kk, that's all for my last update of the day.
